ophmo improves the ophthalmological care in rural regions
A mobile eye clinic as a point of care service
It consists of a container the size of a travel suitcase with innovative, compact ophthalmological measuring devices. With these devices, all relevant eye diseases can be diagnosed. ophmo is intended to make stops in regions with insufficient care at intervals of about three to four months. Such structurally weak regions exist in developing OECD countries and also in Germany.
All workflows are digitalized
All patients are registered and their treatment is documented. The examinations on site are carried out by medical assistants (MAs). They work with a specially developed app in which all workflows are mapped. Diagnostics and prophylaxis are thus possible according to the most modern standards.
The ophmo system
The ophmo system consists of
5 components:
_ Education for the medical assistant
_ An ophmo app as Asisstent for the MA
_ An iPad as the core of the system
_ The ophthalmic measuring devices
_ The custom made ophmo case.
The ophmo app will automatically
generate a data sheet for each person
who is registered. This data sheet can
be sent to the eye clinic.
